These Terms & Conditions apply to all Balgownie digital gift vouchers purchased online through the official Balgownie website. By purchasing, receiving or redeeming a Balgownie gift voucher, you agree to the terms set out below.

1. Digital Vouchers Only

Balgownie gift vouchers are issued digitally only. Physical gift cards are not available. Vouchers are available to purchase online only through the official Balgownie website.

2. Voucher Delivery

Gift vouchers are delivered electronically to the email address supplied at the time of purchase. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure all recipient details are entered correctly. Balgownie is not responsible for vouchers sent to an incorrect email address provided by the purchaser. Vouchers may only be redeemed when booking directly with Balgownie and cannot be redeemed through third-party booking platforms or providers. To redeem a voucher, the voucher holder must contact Balgownie directly by email or phone.

3. Redemption

Gift vouchers may be redeemed only with Balgownie and only for the goods, services or experiences specified on the voucher or otherwise approved by Balgownie. Vouchers must be presented at the time of redemption, either digitally or in a format accepted by Balgownie.

Vouchers are not valid for special events (eg. Christmas Lunch, Mother’s Day Lunch, or Valentine’s Day Dinner) or private functions. Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount.

Advance bookings may be required for accommodation, dining, spa, cellar door experiences, packages or other services. Redemption is subject to availability, opening hours, booking conditions, blackout dates, minimum night stay requirements, seasonal restrictions and any other conditions applicable to the relevant product or service.

4. No Cash Redemption or Partial Use

Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash, refunded for cash, exchanged for cash or used to obtain cash change. Vouchers must be redeemed in full in a single transaction. Partial redemption is not available, and any unused balance remaining after redemption will be forfeited.

5. Expiry

Unless otherwise stated, Balgownie gift vouchers are valid for three years from the date of purchase or issue. The expiry date will be clearly displayed on the voucher or included with the voucher details. Vouchers cannot be redeemed after the expiry date.

Where permitted under Australian Consumer Law, Balgownie may apply a shorter validity period to certain vouchers, including vouchers supplied at a genuine discount, supplied as part of a limited promotion, donated for promotional purposes, issued as part of a specific campaign, or made available only for a specified period. Any shorter validity period will be clearly stated at the time of purchase or issue and on the voucher itself.

6. Pricing, Inclusions and Additional Charges

Voucher pricing, inclusions and redemption value are as stated at the time of purchase.

Any extras, upgrades, surcharges, booking fees, credit card fees, public holiday surcharges, seasonal supplements or additional charges not expressly included in the voucher are payable by the voucher holder at the time of booking or redemption.

7. Refunds, Cancellations and Changes

Gift voucher purchases are non-refundable except where required by law. Vouchers cannot be returned, exchanged or cancelled due to change of mind. Any booking made using a gift voucher will be subject to the cancellation, amendment and no-show policy applicable to the relevant accommodation booking, restaurant reservation, spa appointment, cellar door experience, package or service.

8. Lost, Stolen or Unauthorised Use

Gift vouchers should be treated like cash. Balgownie is not responsible for lost, stolen, deleted, damaged or misused vouchers, or for vouchers redeemed by someone other than the intended recipient. Balgownie may, at its discretion, reissue a voucher where proof of purchase can be verified and the voucher has not already been redeemed.

9. Fraud, Misuse and Resale

Balgownie reserves the right to refuse, cancel or void any voucher that it reasonably suspects has been obtained, copied, altered, tampered with, resold, used fraudulently or used in breach of these Terms & Conditions. Vouchers may not be resold, used for commercial promotions, competitions, fundraising or other unauthorised purposes without Balgownie’s prior written approval.

10. Changes to Products, Services or Experiences

Balgownie may update, vary, withdraw or replace products, services, packages or experiences from time to time. Where a specific voucher experience is no longer available, Balgownie will use reasonable efforts to offer an alternative of comparable value, subject to availability and applicable terms.

11. Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation that cannot be lawfully excluded, restricted or modified.
